The market that never closes.
AlwaysON is a non-custodial command center for trading tokenized stocks 24/7 on Robinhood Chain. It charts them, prices them honestly, executes spot swaps from your own wallet, and surfaces the leverage and short markets the rest of the chain leaves in the dark — while holding none of your funds and taking none of your money.
Non-custodial Spot · live Leverage & short · surfaced & linked
What AlwaysON is #
Wall Street is open about 32 hours a week. Tokenized stocks trade all 168. That gap — the ~80% of the week the exchange is shut but the tokens keep moving — is the only live opinion on a stock while everyone else is asleep. AlwaysON is the terminal built to read and trade that gap.
Concretely, it is four things in one screen:
Real candlesticks, nine indicators, and closed-market hours shaded behind the price — a band no other chart draws.
What a $100 to $100k order actually costs, quoted live from the pool. Executable cost, not TVL.
Every on-chain fill as it lands, tagged if it printed while the exchange was shut.
Spot swaps from your own wallet; leverage-long runs in-app on Morpho; shorts are priced and sized in the in-site ticket, with the one final signature on the venue.
Why it exists #
The legacy market is closed nights, weekends, and holidays, and for those ~136 hours a week the price of a company is frozen at the last print — even as the world keeps producing news about it. Robinhood Chain lists those companies as tokens that never stop trading. So there is a real, continuous, on-chain opinion forming on TSLA, NVDA, SPY and the rest while the NYSE tape is dark — and almost nobody is watching it in one place.
AlwaysON exists to be that place. The name is the thesis: the market never closes; neither do we. The bell that shuts retail out at 4:00pm is the thing this project is built against.
Getting started #
The board and terminal work with no wallet and no token — reading is free and always will be. To trade spot, you need an EVM wallet on Robinhood Chain.
Open the terminal
Go to alwayson.market/terminal. Pick a ticker from the watchlist — the chart, depth, tape and trade panel all update together.
Connect a wallet
Click Connect. AlwaysON discovers your installed wallets (EIP-6963) and asks for nothing but an address. No sign-up, no email, no seed phrase — ever.
Be on Robinhood Chain (4663)
If your wallet is on the wrong network, AlwaysON offers a one-click switch, and adds the chain with the correct parameters if it's unknown to your wallet.
Fund with USDG
Tokenized stocks trade against USDG, the chain's stablecoin (6 decimals). Hold some USDG to buy, or hold the stock token to sell.
Quote, review, sign
Enter an amount. AlwaysON quotes a real Uniswap-V4 route, shows price impact and minimum received, simulates it against live chain state, and only then asks your wallet to sign. You can abort at any step.
The board & chart #
The board is the home screen: every tracked tokenized stock with its live on-chain price, 24h move, real volume, and buy/sell pressure, sorted by how much it's moving. A heatmap view tints each name by the magnitude of its move.
The chart
The terminal charts any ticker with real candlesticks (open/high/low/close bodies and wicks, not a line), a volume histogram, a crosshair with a live OHLC readout, and timeframes from 5m to 1D. It runs on a locally-vendored copy of TradingView Lightweight Charts — no runtime CDN.
The thing no other chart draws
Behind the candles, AlwaysON shades every hour Wall Street was closed. The story of the whole project is drawn into the chart: you can see, at a glance, exactly how much a stock moved while the exchange that "sets its price" was shut. A stat line reports what % of the visible window was closed-market.
Indicators & tooling
Nine indicators (SMA, EMA, VWAP, Bollinger, Donchian, RSI, MACD, ATR, volume MA), each dependency-free and unit-tested against hand-computed values. Overlays draw on the price pane; oscillators get their own. A command palette (⌘K) jumps between tickers, timeframes, indicators and views; single-key shortcuts move fast. Every setup is shareable via URL.
Reading the tape #
The tape prints every swap for the selected pool as it lands on chain 4663 — side, size, price, and a link to the transaction on Blockscout — newest first, updating live. Fills that occurred while Wall Street was closed are tagged, so you can watch the after-hours market form in real time.
Prices on the tape are derived from each trade's own on-chain amounts, not from an indexer's last-trade estimate — because a routed multi-hop swap can print a misleading number if you trust the index instead of the receipt. Reading the tape correctly is the whole discipline the project is named for.
Spot # Live
Spot trading is native and non-custodial. A tokenized stock is an ERC-20; buying it is going long — you hold the asset itself, there is no floating leg, no funding, no liquidation. AlwaysON builds the swap against the verified on-chain Uniswap-V4 router, quotes it live, and hands the transaction to your wallet to sign.
| Property | Detail |
|---|---|
| Venue | Uniswap V4 (Robinhood-fork), verified on-chain against real swap receipts |
| Quote | Live from the pool + a small reference quote for true executable price |
| You see before signing | Expected output, price impact, minimum received, slippage, gas |
| Safety | Simulated against live state; aborts on divergence; scoped Permit2 (no infinite approval by default) |
| Custody | None. Funds move wallet → pool. AlwaysON is never in the path. |
| Fee | Zero. AlwaysON takes nothing on the swap. |
Leverage & short # Priced in-site · signed by you
You asked the obvious question: can you short these, or go long with leverage? On Robinhood Chain, yes — and the Desk now does the pricing, sizing and risk math in-site. What AlwaysON still never does is take the other side.
Leverage-long — via lending, fully in-app
A leveraged long is built from spot pieces: deposit collateral, borrow USDG, buy more of the stock, repeat. Because every leg is a real spot asset and an over-collateralized loan, there's no synthetic derivative and no floating leg — it's the cleaner path. The Desk runs the whole loop in-app on Morpho's audited contracts, shows the resulting leverage and — loudest of all — your liquidation price before you sign. It gates honestly on live borrowable liquidity, and Seed & Earn lets anyone supply USDG to that market in-app (two signatures, withdraw any time) and earn Morpho's live rate while unlocking leverage for everyone.
Short — via perpetuals, with the in-site ticket
You cannot short by borrowing the token (no lender lists it). You short with a perpetual future: post USDG margin, take price-exposure the other way, pay or earn funding. Those markets are live — run by dedicated venues, not by us. The Desk's short ticket prices the whole trade in-site:
- Mark, funding per hour + annualized, next-funding countdown, open interest — live per ticker.
- Position size, estimated liquidation price and funding cost per day — computed from your inputs before you commit.
- One labeled hand-off for the final signature — the primary venue today is Lighter (live order book); Arcus is closed-beta (waitlist) and listed as such. Our own AlwaysOnPerp contract is deployed paused, pre-audit — the long-term native path.
Market data & the band #
AlwaysON publishes the numbers the rest of the chain leaves on-chain and unread. All of it is live-fetched from chain 4663 or explicitly labeled — never invented.
The no-arbitrage band
While Wall Street is shut there is no official price to anchor to, so the honest question isn't "what is TSLA worth" but "how far can the on-chain price drift before someone can profitably correct it." That range is the no-arbitrage band — a bound, not a fair value — and AlwaysON draws it. It's the most honest number you can put on a stock at 3am.
Pool mid vs. the indexer
The terminal shows the pool's live executable mid-price beside the indexer's last-trade price and surfaces the divergence, so you're never quoted a stale number as if it were live.
Since the bell
Every ticker carries its move since the last time the exchange was actually open — the number that says what happened while you (and Wall Street) were asleep — computed from loaded candles with zero extra requests.
Cross-venue view
Spot price, perp funding, open interest and borrow rates for one ticker, in one place. No single venue shows you all of it, because no single venue benefits from you seeing all of it.
Self-custody & safety #
This is where AlwaysON is strongest and most of DeFi is weakest. The safety model isn't a promise — it's the architecture.
- Non-custodial, always. Your funds live in your wallet. AlwaysON has no deposit address, no custody contract, no admin key over your assets.
- Spot is free. No swap fee, no spread on the core terminal. The pro Desk and the flow we route earn revenue (venue rebates + fees) that funds the token's buyback and yield — the free core never charges you.
- Counterparty to nothing. On spot you trade the pool; on leverage and short you trade the venue. AlwaysON is never on the other side of you.
- Verify, don't trust. Pool keys are re-derived and checked on-chain (
bun tools/verify-pools.ts). Routers are re-asserted at runtime. The whole engine ships with 173 passing tests. - One real contract. If a token ever exists, its address is posted here and at /ca.txt. Anything else — any "presale," any DM, any other address — is a scam.
- Independent. AlwaysON is not affiliated with Robinhood Markets, DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, TradingView, or Uniswap. It is a community project that reads public chains.
What we'll never do #
Most projects list features. Here's the more useful list — the things AlwaysON is structurally committed against, because our constraints are our trust.
| We will never | Because |
|---|---|
| Hold your funds or keys | Non-custody is the entire safety model. A tool you have to trust with custody is a bank, and we're not one. |
| Charge for the free core | The board, charts, spot and tape stay free forever — that's the distribution moat. Revenue comes from the pro Desk and the flow we route, never your spot swap. |
| Be the counterparty to your trade | On spot you trade the pool; on leverage and short you trade the venue. We route and we earn a rebate — we never make the market or take the other side. |
| Route your money through an unaudited contract of ours | Funds move wallet↔pool or wallet↔venue. Our native desk contract (AlwaysOnPerp) is deployed PAUSED — every fund path reverts until a public audit clears it. See Deployed contracts. |
| Pay yield from printed emissions | Every $ALWAYSON payout is real revenue — venue rebates and pro fees, bought back and burned — never inflationary tokens. The anti-Terra line. (See Token.) |
| Fake a receipt | Every number is live-fetched or labeled. If a pool has no data, the screen says so. We'd rather show an honest empty than a pretty lie. |
Deployed contracts # On chain · verified
The AlwaysON stack is deployed in public, source-verified on Blockscout, and shipped in the only honest order: deploy paused → audit → flip live. Three contracts are on chain 4663 today. None of them can touch user funds.
| Contract | What it does | Address |
|---|---|---|
| AlwaysOnRegistry | The on-chain anti-scam oracle — the contract version of /ca.txt. Call isOfficial(address) to check anything claiming to be AlwaysON. No payable, no transfer, no withdraw: it cannot move value. | 0x86d0…4450 |
| MarketStateOracle | Publishes NYSE open/closed state and the no-arbitrage band per tokenized stock, on-chain — so other contracts and agents can read "the market is shut" as a primitive. Keeper-fed, staleness-guarded (1h max). | 0xccC8…7478 |
| AlwaysOnPerp | The native short desk: USDG-collateralized long + short on tokenized stocks, Chainlink-priced, per-market leverage caps. Deployed PAUSED (live = false) — every fund-taking path reverts until it is audited. The verified source opens with a warning block saying exactly that. | 0x2Ca8…4A71 |
$ALWAYSON #
$ALWAYSON is the key to the Desk — and the Desk buys it back. The board, charts, spot terminal and tape are free forever. The pro layer — cross-venue long/short data, best-execution, alerts, and the API that bots run on — runs on the token, and the revenue it earns flows back into the token. Usage → revenue → accrual. A real flywheel, not a promise.
Three reasons it exists, and each one reinforces the others:
| Pillar | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | Hold or stake $ALWAYSON to unlock the Pro Desk — live funding / open interest / long-short skew / liquidation maps across every venue, cross-venue best-execution, and the agent API. |
| Real yield | The Desk earns venue referral rebates + pro & API fees. That revenue buys back and burns $ALWAYSON and pays stakers a share in USDG — real yield from real revenue, never inflationary emissions. |
| The flag | Identity for the tape readers — the people who watch the market Wall Street shuts. The bell closes at 4:00; we don't. |
The flywheel: the more the market that never closes gets traded through AlwaysON, the more revenue the Desk earns — and the more $ALWAYSON gets bought back, burned, and paid out. Every buyback and burn is published on-chain as a receipt. The free core stays free; the fees are on the pro layer and the flow we route, never on your spot swap.
Numbers publish here the day they exist — receipts, not projections. Distributions are discretionary, pro-rata from actual revenue, and can be zero in any period; paid in USDG, never printed emissions. Nothing on this page is a deposit, an APY, or a promise of return. $ALWAYSON is and will remain the only AlwaysON token — its one contract address will live at /ca.txt.
Where the revenue comes from
| Source | What it is |
|---|---|
| Venue referral rebates | Perp venues pay affiliates a share of trading fees for routed flow. The Desk routes the flow; the rebate is paid by the venue — never a markup on you. Third-party programs can change or end; rebates are never guaranteed. |
| Pro & agent-API fees | The Pro Desk and the metered API/MCP feed bots run on. The public board and /v1 stay free — Pro buys the aggregated cross-venue layer, not fresher data. |
| Routing fee (optional, thin) | A small, visible fee on leverage/short tickets built through the Desk UI, if ever enabled — printed on the ticket before you sign, never hidden in the price. |
Transparency & receipts
Half this flywheel is independently verifiable on-chain — that is the design. Each address publishes the moment it exists, here first:
| Receipt | Where |
|---|---|
| Token contract | Publishes at launch — here and at /ca.txt, nowhere else first. |
| Buyback & burn address | Publishes with the first burn — and gets printed on the flywheel diagram itself, linked to the explorer. |
| Burn log | Every buyback and burn is a transaction hash, listed on this page as it happens. Past tense only. |
| Staker distributions | Each USDG distribution posted with its transaction — what was actually paid, never a projection. |
Risks, plainly
- Revenue dependency: venue referral programs are third-party and can be cut or changed — the rebate leg is not under AlwaysON's control.
- Distributions can be zero in any period, and are discretionary. Holding or staking $ALWAYSON is not a deposit and earns no promised return.
- Regulatory: value-accruing tokens carry securities-law risk; AlwaysON keeps a non-US posture and factual, receipts-first copy.
- Contract risk: staking and buyback contracts would ship only after audit, and may not ship at all — no timeline is promised. The Pro gate today is hold-based.
Developers & API #
AlwaysON's data is a public good — free, no key, no backend to run.
Embed the board
Drop the always-on board into any page. It renders itself and shares no dependencies with the host:
<script src="https://alwayson.market/embed.js" async></script>
Machine-readable board
A JSON board of every tracked ticker — price, move, volume, buy/sell flow — for bots, agents, and dashboards:
curl https://alwayson.market/v1/board
The schema is documented at /v1-openapi.json. The chain is AI-native; a plain-language description for agents lives at /llms.txt.
The Desk's derivatives read — live mark, funding, next-funding time, open interest and max leverage per market — is public JSON too, at /derivs. It's the unversioned working feed — a developer preview, shapes can evolve, no SLA; /v1/board is the stable contract.
no_arb_band field is a bound on where the price can drift before arbitrage corrects it — not a fair-value oracle. Read it as a range, never as a price.FAQ #
Is this affiliated with Robinhood?
No. AlwaysON is an independent community project that reads a public chain. It is not affiliated with Robinhood Markets, Inc. or any venue it links to.
Do you hold my funds?
Never. There is no deposit, no custody contract, no admin key over your assets. Spot moves funds wallet↔pool; leverage and short happen on third-party venues you sign for yourself.
Can I actually short a stock here?
You can short on Robinhood Chain via perpetual venues. The Desk's in-site ticket prices the whole trade — mark, funding, open interest, your estimated liquidation — and hands you to the venue for the one final signature (Lighter today; Arcus in closed beta). AlwaysON itself does not run a live perp or take the other side; our own contract is deployed paused, pre-audit — see Leverage & short and Deployed contracts.
Can US persons use AlwaysON?
No. The tokenized stocks are non-US instruments and AlwaysON does not serve US persons.
Is there a token? How does it work?
No token exists yet. When one launches, $ALWAYSON will power the Pro Desk and the API, and the revenue those earn (venue referral rebates + pro fees) buys it back, burns it, and pays stakers real yield in USDG — from real revenue, never printed emissions. Its only real address will be on this site and at /ca.txt. See $ALWAYSON. This describes the mechanism; it is not investment advice or a promise of return.
Is any of this financial advice?
No. AlwaysON publishes data and provides a non-custodial interface. Nothing here is advice, a solicitation, or a recommendation to trade anything.
What are the risks?
Smart-contract risk, market risk, the risk that a tokenized stock de-pegs from its underlying, and — for leverage and short — liquidation and funding risk on venues AlwaysON does not control. Trade what you can afford to lose.
